GUARDIAN: Another month, another TwiTrip for the Guardian’s travel team. The format involves a writer arriving in a city (so far: Paris, San Francisco and Brighton) with nothing planned, then spending the day reliant only on suggestions from the Twittersphere.

Last week, it was the turn of historic British beach resort Blackpool.

It’s funny how things work out sometimes. Unlike previous TwiTrips, my Blackpool adventure was preceded with a request: I wanted history, tradition, and nostalgia.

I finished the day watching transvestite flamenco.
